Luis Amador Donoso was born the 22nd of March of
1922. His parents were very well of. They own a lot of land in the town of
Pichidegua. Amador loved school. He started school when he was ten and excelled
in all his classes although he didn’t have any school prior.
He has always been a hardworking individuals. He would work
for his dad on his lands.
Luis got married at age 17 to Margarita Acevedo. She was 15
years old at that time. Prior to their marriage he had a relationship with
another woman which he had a child with at the age of fifteen. She was sent
away and never got to see Luis ever again. They had a son together. Luis first
son never meet him until late adulthood.
After he married margarita they had their first child a year
later and then thirteen kids. He had to work mornings and nights. During the
days he works in his dad’s land and at night he work in a metal mine. He was
always working and looking for ways to improve their family’s needs.
In every house that they lived in, he built with his own
hands. He would always share with his children that when he was young he was
very tall for his age. His father would leave at night to go out and drink.
After a few hours Luis would go to the bar and carry his drunk father home.
Amador was always seeking for opportunities. In 1970 his
family and him moved to Santiago to get a better life of living and they did.
They went through a few struggles, but they were successful.
In the late 1990’s they decided to head back to Pichidegua.
He again built their own home. In 2006 he passed away. He has always been known
as a very knowledge man. He always had a great heart and was always willing to
serve those who he loved.
